Stephen Sandy papers, 1925-2009.

The collection consists of Stephen Sandy's correspondence with authors, poets, and publishers; manuscripts and drafts of poems and other writings; files relating to the publication of certain works; journals; photographs; teaching files; and personal papers. Material documents the creation, publication, and reception of Sandy's work from his earliest pamphlet, Mary Baldwin (1962), to his book, Netsuke Days (2008), and sheds light on his poetic sensibility and his personal and professional relationships with other poets.
